About me
Having been put on furlough at the start of the pandemic I traded Trolley Dolly for Baker, drove my family nuts covering the kitchen in flour, icing sugar, butter cream icing and forcing numerous experiments into their face on a regular basis.
Linton Bakes has since grown from being something to keep me occupied during the pandemic to a small hobby run business to where it is now, a full time business where I try to give every customer the best possible experience when bringing their ideas to life.
Having food intolerance issues myself and family members who are coeliac I know the importance of being able to offer alternative options and try my hardest not to compromise on design or taste whilst meeting customers requirements.
I am always looking for new challenges so if you have any wild and wacky ideas for a cake that you would like for any occasion please don’t hesitate to get in touch, or if your looking for some inspiration and ideas check out the gallery!
In 2025, I made the decision to take on a larger premises located at the Cozy Kitchen in Peebles, this was a big step for me which involved taking on more staff and more responsibilities. Unfortunately I had to also make the hard decision to close my wee shop in Penicuik due to being unable to split myself in half! I will forever be grateful for the huge support that all my loyal customers in Penicuik provided to me, without you Linton Bakes would not have continued to thrive.
